About DIMPLE
------------
DIMPLE is the interactive image processing system that makes powerful image analysis tools easy to use. DIMPLE provides a comprehensive range of tools, including statistical analysis, image enhancement, multispectral transformation, classifications, image registration & rectification, and even other functions which you can define. It supports raster and vector data, multispectral images with up to 32,000 channels, and can use images directly from disk so that the size of images you can work on is not limited by your computerﾕs memory. You can customise DIMPLE to work in the way you do, by adding user-defined filters and programs written in the Image Operation Language (IOL) to menus and using them in the same way as built-in functions.
About the demonstration
----------------------
The demonstration includes a fully-functional copy of the DIMPLE application, for running on maths coprocessor equipped Macintoshes only. If you require a non-coprocessor or native Power Macintosh version, contact Process Software or your dealer. The only limitations on the demo are that you cannot save or export any images and the application has a limited running time. A demonstration guide and all the images that you will use with the guide are included. Also included in the demonstration are a number of sample Colour LookUp Tables (CLUTs), Filters, and IOL programs.
Installing the DIMPLE demonstration
--------------------------------
To install the DIMPLE demonstration, double-click on the self-extracting archive "Install DIMPLE 68K/FPU Demo". A short note will be displayed. Click on "Install". A dialog box will ask you to select a folder for the installation. Choose a folder on a volume that has at least 3 Mb of free disk space. The name of the chosen folder should appear in the "Folder" popup menu above the list of the folder contents. Click on "Extract". A folder called "DIMPLE Demonstration" is created that contains all the DIMPLE demonstration components. To run the demonstration, just follow the "Demonstration Guide".
